Annie Nguyen is a descendant of a lineage of educators. Following in their footsteps, she earned her B.A. in English through the UTeach Liberal Arts Program from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a dedicated secondary English teacher in the greater Austin area, having taught everything from freshmen to seniors for the past eight years and now proudly piloting the first Asian American Ethnic Studies high school course in Texas. She is involved in her school’s equity, diversity, and inclusivity committee, as well as leading the English department's equity committee.
She is also a cooperating teacher for UTeach and serves on their advisory board. Motivated by the pride of her family’s legacy and her beloved community, she hopes to explore every avenue that will lead to an education that liberates all students.
